Job Description: Account Executive
Manages and acts as primary contact for the successful renewal, retention and add-on sales of assigned book of business. Facilitates renewal and retention processes and consults and advises on all products, industry trends, and plan functions. Serves as main point of contact for clients’ service needs. An ideal candidate will be a hard-working and energetic self-starter with great customer service skills that thrive in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Renewal Process for all clients
- Accountable for the client relationship, account retention, and developing a comprehensive and competitive insurance program.
- Work independently to inform and educate clients on policy changes, exclusions, insurance coverages, and insurance industry trends.
- Respond to client and insurance carrier requests within agreed upon timeframes.
- Manage renewal workflow for assigned book of business, avoiding any lapse in coverage.
- Negotiate renewal and/or new line of coverage with knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
- Assist in Roll Out of Plan offerings to current Minute Men clients
- Meet with clients and employees on worksite
- Facilitate open enrollment meetings
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ohio Department of Insurance Health and Life license required
- 3+ years experience working with employer sponsored group insurance benefits
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must understand Health Insurance Funding (Fully Insured, Self-Insured, Level Funded, MEC)
- Proficient in internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
